About the Newmont Endowed Professorship in Mining & Metallurgical Engineering

Newmont has generously supported the University for more than 50 years. Newmont established this endowed faculty position to recognize the importance of higher education in the academic areas critical to the minerals industry, as well as the Mackay School’s long and illustrious history as an institution that provides top-quality training for mining professionals. Established: 2003. (Mackay School of Earth Sciences and Engineering)
