Joe Taglieber, M.A.

Lecturer

Summary

Joe Taglieber hails from Pennsylvania but considers himself at home in the high desert, having adopted Nevada for a state in true transplant fashion. He studied at UNLV and the University of Nevada, Reno, earning a Master's in English, focusing on creative writing and American literature. Since then, he has immersed himself in theatre, co-founding Good Luck Macbeth Theatre company, which has become a Midtown Reno staple in a brand new facility. He also helped found Utility Players Improv Comedy and Alchemist Theatre, for which he performs regularly, reading his spoken word, poetry, monologues, raps, and maintaining grooves on the piano for the Alchemist band. You might spot him biking across campus, downtown, or Midtown - hanging posters. Over the years, he has become a seasoned grant writer while continuing to hone skills of literature/spiritual text analysis, musical improvisation and the art of writing. He loves the mountains, the desert and draws inspiration from the wonderfully weird culture of Reno and its unlikely ecology.
