Summary

Madeline “Maddy” Pringle (Ph.D., University of Missouri) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communication Studies. Pringle’s research program focuses on difference and identity in organizing while emphasizing sociomateriality and the importance of place. She is especially interested in how one’s identity with specific organizational places is communicated and how language and materiality play a part in identity management and overall organizing. Pringle has presented research at the Central States Communication Association (CSCA), the National Communication Association (NCA), and the International Communication Association (ICA) conferences. Her research has been published in outlets such as Communication Monographs, Language and Intercultural Communication, and the Journal of Communication Pedagogy.

When not focused on academic work, Pringle enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, volunteering with nonprofits, playing pickleball, and spending time with rescue dogs.
