Summary

Sarah Moeller is an assistant professor of linguistics at the University of Florida and loves to see linguistics students’ eyes light up in her classes when they discover the puzzles and the potential of computational linguistics for under-resourced languages. In 2023, she taught the MitL Workshop 1 at Dallas International University and the full MitL Series at the University of Alberta, which resulted in the first automatic language identifier and POS tagger for Dene-Suline. She taught “Data Management with SayMore” at CoLang 2016. She has integrated and tested the curriculum into her university teaching.
