Pilar Chamorro is an associate professor in the Department of Linguistics and the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Georgia. She conducts linguistic fieldwork in semantics and pragmatics on typologically diverse languages, including Wari’ (Txapakuran), Guajajara (Tenetehara, Tupi-Guarani), and Galician, Spanish and Portuguese (Romance). Her research investigates form-meaning mappings across languages, with a focus on temporal and aspectual reference, modality and evidentiality.
