M.A. Thesis Title: Contributing to the discussion: the health of enslaved Africans through the lens of bioarchaeology
Kendra Isable is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Anthropology with research interests in bioarchaeology and paleopathology. Kendra earned her B.S. degree in nthropology at the University of California, Riverside in 2018. She then went on to embark on a terminal Master's degree in anthropology at California State University, Northridge, which she completed the summer of 2021. Her research interests delve into the paleopathology of enslaved African Americans and those of lower socio-economic status to determine if/how their skeletal modifications highlight the presence of disabilities in these populations.
