Current status: M.A. in progress

M.A. thesis title: Queer Culture in the Protestant Christian Church in the Bay Area of San Francisco

Jessica Obermiller has always enjoyed learning about cultures and wants to bridge the divide between tolerance and acceptance in queer churches. She hails from Fairbanks, Alaska and is greatly enjoying 'winter' here in Reno. Back in Alaska, Obermiller was a stage actor for 18 years and hopes to get back on the stage soon. However, school keeps her very busy! Obermiller has a lovely husband and daughter, both who love science just as much as she does, and two cats who rule the house.
