Summary
I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and raised in a small town in New Mexico. I received my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education through Grand Canyon University (GCU) and am pursuing a Master of Education in Special Education, with an emphasis in early intervention and autism.
As a first-generation college student, I understand the struggles and challenges being the first in your family to attend college. As a graduate research assistant with CBESS, I can dip my toes into the world of research while supporting high school students feel empowered by their bilingualism and providing real life experiences and resources to help them attend and succeed in college.
In my free time I enjoy scrapbooking, reading non-fiction books, going to the movies, and traveling back home as often as I can to spend time with family.
