There are three ways to request a ride:
Download the Nevada Pack Rides application from either Google Play or the Apple App Store. From there, you can request a ride and will be contacted upon your escort arrival from your application.
Call (775) 742-6808 and follow the instructions of the automated system. If you would prefer to speak to dispatcher, you may press 0 at any time, and we will answer your call as soon as possible.

Once you get a notification saying your van has arrived, the van will be waiting in the pickup location. You can then check the Pack Rides App and you will see a blue pinpoint where the van is parked.
Due to varying levels of call volume, wait times can vary. However, you will typically be picked up within 10 to 15 minutes of requesting a ride. If you request a ride through the app, it will notify you when your ride from Pack Rides has arrived.

Shuttle service is currently not being conducted by Pack Rides but is being conducted by the University supplemental shuttle service. Hours for the 2021-2022 school year are Monday to Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m. Pack Rides may resume operations in the future.
No, we service all requests in the order we receive them. Please call us 10 minutes before you need us. Our peak times are generally 7-10 p.m. and your wait may significantly longer at this time, so keep that in mind.
Yes. ADA compliant vans are available for the retail shopping shuttle service by reservation. If you need an accessible van, please email email@example.com or call (775) 742-6808 ahead of time to make a reservation.
Pack Rides drivers turn in all lost and found items to dispatch at the end of their shift. You can contact the dispatcher at (775) 742-6808 if during Pack Rides hours the day the item was lost. All items are then turned into The Joe Crowley Student Union lost and found at the Information Desk during the next business day.

At the top of the Pack Rides app it will say the van number. You can find the Pack Rides van number on the back of the vehicle.
Yes. Flag downs can only be accepted if they are on campus and must still abide by all of our policies.
The Pack Rides will arrive in a white van with blue decals denoting the Pack Rides Service. The escorts will be wearing distinct uniforms including a navy blue Pack Rides polo shirt. During cold weather, the escorts may wear a navy blue jacket with "Pack Rides" printed on the back.
Yes. All Pack Rides employees undergo pre-employment screening, including criminal background checks and driving record checks. Further, they all undergo university-approved Defensive Driving courses as part of their training.
Our ability to help is limited to battery jumps and tire changes during our service hours.
Yes, after you have selected your pickup and drop off locations on the app, there will be options for how many passengers and directly below, there will be an option to choose wheelchair or bike assistance. Select the option for wheelchair and we will send a van to accommodate you. If you are calling in, please let our dispatcher know and they will get you the correct van.
Our main office is located inside the Joe Crowley Student Union, Room 334. Our dispatcher desk is JCSU 327, outside the Sagebrush offices in the ASUN Center for Student Engagement.

RTC – all University of Nevada, Reno and TMCC students are able to ride RTC buses for free, no pass needed. All you need to get onto the bus is your WolfCard.
