Nevada Dining, the primary food service provider at the University of Nevada, Reno, is excited to announce DelightFul Week, scheduled from Feb. 12 to 16. This national initiative aims to encourage and inspire random acts of kindness, promoting happiness and positivity throughout the country. As a highlight of DelightFul Week, Nevada Dining invites the Wolf Pack community to enjoy a complimentary lunch at the University's dining hall, Pack Place, featuring an "Around the World" culinary experience on Friday, Feb. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Purpose Behind DelightFul

The purpose of DelightFul Week is to foster a culture of goodwill within the community. DelightFul Around the World is Nevada Dining's way of spreading kindness to the Wolf Pack.

How to Participate

The event is complimentary for all of the Wolf Pack community who hold an active Wolf Card. Guests of the Wolf Pack can join for a reduced fee of $5. Registration is available here, and cash payments are not accepted.

Additional Activities Throughout the Week

In addition to the main event, Nevada Dining is hosting various communal activities on campus during DelightFul Week.

• Faculty & Staff Appreciation Monday: Nevada Dining is droping off gifts to departments at the University, spreading joy and appreciation.
• Mardi Gras Tuesday: Cotton candy machine, mask-making station, kindness activites, and more during a Mardi Gras-themed dinner at Pack Place from 5 to 8 p.m.
• Valentine's Day Wednesday: Nevada Dining retail restaurants are spreading the Valentine's Day spirit by including a little gift with every purchase. The Lake Tahoe campus is hosting a fun DelightFul cookie decorating event, and Pack Place is adding a chocolate-dipping station during dinner.
• Local Love Thursday: Nevada Dining is inviting local nonprofits, vendors, and campus partners to table at Pack Place, providing a platform to support and engage their incredible work.

The grand finale of DelightFul Week is the Around the World event on Friday, providing the Wolf Pack with the opportunity to enjoy cuisines from around the globe. 

Jonathan Marks, resident district manager at Nevada Dining, emphasized the importance of fostering connections through food, stating, "Providing students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to connect with peers and the community as a whole through food is what we're all about at Nevada Dining." 

Spreading Kindness Nationwide

Throughout DelightFul Week, Nevada Dining will actively participate in nationwide random acts of kindness with 300 other campuses. Over the years, DelightFul events have encouraged over 1 million acts of kindness.

Marks expressed excitement about the upcoming event, saying, "We are thrilled to invite the entire Wolf Pack and extend the opportunity for their loved ones to join as well. This is going to be truly special, and we hope it brings our community together in a memorable way."
