The College of Education & Human Development Career Fair will be held on Tuesday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Joe Crowley Student Union Grand Ballroom, located on the fourth floor. Open to both students and alumni, this free event offers a valuable opportunity to engage with a diverse array of employers, explore career options and expand professional networks.

Currently, 45 employers have confirmed their participation in the Career Fair. Among them are various school districts, charter schools, juvenile services, child and family services, disability programs, behavioral services, camps and nonprofit organizations. Representing regions include Nevada, California, Colorado, Arizona and Nebraska with employers offering a wide range of career prospects.

“We look forward to welcoming employers to our College,” Eleni Oikonomidoy, Ph.D., associate dean of the College of Education & Human Development said. “Events like this allow our students to explore professional pathways and provide our partners with opportunities to identify well-prepared candidates. As a College, we find pride in our strong connection with the community.”

The College of Education & Human Development Career Fair promises a relaxed and convenient environment for University students and alumni to interact with potential employers. Attendees are advised to dress professionally and bring copies of their resumes to make the most of this networking opportunity.

For additional support in preparing for interviews and navigating the job market, students can contact the Nevada Career Studio. Also, during the Career Fair, students will have the chance to connect with faculty from the College of Education & Human Development to explore graduate programs.

This event is jointly hosted by the College of Education & Human Development and the Nevada Career Studio. Employers interested in participating can register online or contact Peter Martinez at petermartinez@unr.edu.
