During the “Honor the Best” ceremony held on Tuesday, May 9 in the Glick Ballrooms of the Joe Crowley Student Union, President Brian Sandoval praised the efforts of the individuals honored, while also thanking the collective effort of the entire University over the past year.

“Each year that passes on our campus reminds us of the value that our University holds for the people who live, work and study here, as well as for the community and the state that we serve,” he said. “The work that we do is transformational. It provides a pathway to our future. And, in the here-and-now, it gives incredible purpose to the lives of our students, faculty and staff. This purpose is something you can feel every day on our campus.

“When you look at the combined accomplishments, the long careers of service, and the good work that we are honoring here today, it is a powerful reminder of what our University is capable of doing.”
