Nevada Governor Joe Lombardo visited the University of Nevada, Reno on Feb. 2. During his time on campus, he met with University President Brian Sandoval, Executive Vice President and Provost Jeff Thompson, University faculty and students and toured the campus.
After a Wolf Pack welcome on the University’s quad, featuring the University’s cheer squad and the Pride of the Sierra marching band, Governor Lombardo visited Fleischmann Agriculture, the University’s School of Medicine, and met with members of Veteran Services and other units.
While visiting, Governor Lombardo engaged in a number of important conversations about the University and the vision of the future outlined in the five-year strategic plan, Wolf Pack Rising.
The half-day visit was Lombardo’s first visit to campus after being sworn in as the 31st Nevada State Governor in January.
