The University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Business received recognition from U.S. News as offering one of the country’s top online graduate programs. The Online Executive MBA is ranked No. 62 on U.S. News’ “2022 Best Online MBA Programs.”

According to U.S. News, highly ranked programs have strong traditional academic foundations based on the excellence of entering students, graduation rates and instructor credentials. They also excel at educating distance learners while providing robust career and financial support.

“The Online Executive MBA provides an innovative and integrated curriculum in management and leadership while competing with the best online MBA programs,” Kambiz Raffiee, the Online Executive MBA director and associate dean of the College of Business, said. “The program allows students to excel in their careers by providing innovative course content and mentoring from faculty.”

“Our Online Executive MBA program represents the quality metrics we expect across the breadth of our programs,” Greg Mosier, dean of the College of Business, said. “Undergraduate, masters and Ph.D. programs, resident and online, all benefit from our outstanding faculty and staff providing an educational experience focused on the success of our students.”

The University's Online Executive MBA program has steadily grown since it started in August 2011. The program saw its ninth cohort graduate in fall 2021 with 35 students. Students from across the country participated in this cohort and had an average of 12 years work experience when they started in 2019. Fifteen of the graduates also had a graduate or professional degree entering the program.

“The Online Executive MBA program pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to achieve what I previously thought was impossible,” Melody Fong, 2021 Online Executive MBA graduate and financial analyst at Resorts World Las Vegas, said. “The program is a great way for leaders that are already in the industry to continue their education without taking a pause in their career. Throughout the program, students also establish a strong professional network with their cohort and establish strong bonds and connections that will last a lifetime.”
