After purchase, we will remove the mobile device management (MDM) and University-provided apps (Microsoft Suite, Goodnotes etc.) and you can continue to use your device as you would with any other of your personal devices. Please note that after we remove the MDM software your device will reset to factory settings, so we encourage you to back up the device regularly to prevent any loss of data.

Transfer of ownership to graduates

Students who have applied for graduation will receive information about the transition of their device about a month prior to their graduation. Thirty (30) days after your degree has posted, the University will remove mobile device management (MDM) and University-provided apps (Microsoft Suite, Goodnotes, etc.) from the device. At this point, the device is owned outright by the graduate. Please note that after we remove the MDM software your device will need to be reset to factory settings to completely remove any remaining references to University ownership, so we encourage you to back up the device regularly to prevent any loss of data.
