About

Research Cyberinfrastructure Day (CI Day) is an annual "inreach" event that engages the University community on the role of technology in research and how we can better support our research faculty. Join us for informational sessions on local and national CI resources and practices, as well as flash presentations by University researchers and their technology workflows!

The keynote address for Research CI Day 2020 was given by Dr. Dana Brunson, the Executive Director for Research Engagement for Internet2.

The inaugural CI Day was held on March 27th, 2019. Participants were able to converse with University leadership and technology providers about campus Cyberinfrastructure (CI) and research technology support. It was a successful program that brought fresh perspectives and insights to University leadership straight from researchers. Please see the post-event article from Nevada Today: Researchers, Technology Providers, and Leadership Discuss Vision for University Cyberinfrastructure. If you are interested in learning more about Cyberinfrastructure at the University, please visit the Cyberinfrastructure web page and contact CI Director, Dr. Scotty Strachan by email at strachan@unr.edu.
