COVID-19 testing

Free, walk-in COVID-19 testing is available for University of Nevada, Reno students, faculty and staff at the Student Health Center. No appointment necessary. Call the SHC at (775) 784-6598. Currently, the testing area is in the previous Campus Pharmacy in the Student Center. Both rapid and PCR tests are available.

It is recommended you bring your NSHE ID or employee ID to testing.

In addition to the Student Health Center, COVID-19 testing is available through the following groups:

• Southern Nevada Health District
• Nevada Health Reponse

For regions outside of Nevada, the CDC recommends you contact your healthcare provider or visit your state, tribal or health department for the latest details on COVID-19 testing in your area.

Free COVID-19 test kits from U.S. Postal Service

Four free at-home COVID-19 rapid tests are available for order and shipment through the United States Postal Service.
