Student Request for Remote Instruction
Dear Faculty,
Undergraduate and graduate students were sent the following message on Friday.
As Provost Carman emailed on July 17 th, the University of Nevada, Reno will offer students the ability to request 100% remote instruction. While we want to encourage students, especially those new to the University, to be on campus and engage directly with the Wolf Pack community, we understand that personal circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic may make it difficult or impossible for some students to attend classes in person. We also realize that these circumstances can be of a sensitive and private nature and we will not request nor require documentation.
There is no need for students to complete the form if all of their classes happen to be taught via Alternative Remote or Traditional Remote instruction
Students wishing to request remote instruction should complete the Request for Remote Instruction form available on the University Coronavirus website.
As a reminder please regularly check the new Faculty: Preparing for a COVID-19-ready Semester section on the University’s coronavirus webpage for the latest information on return to instruction. You may also want to keep an eye on the parallel student page Students: Preparing for a COVID-19-ready Semester. Besides the latest information, both of these pages maintain copies of e-mails sent to faculty and students.
Sincerely,
Dave
