Administrative Assistant
The Extension Award of Excellence for Support Staff recognizes outstanding staff who exemplify the University's standards for excellence and innovation; whose efforts have inspired and supported the performance and achievement of others; and who show exemplary individual achievement, contribution and performance in their jobs and other related duties beyond their own offices.
Michelle has worked at Extension for over six years. Originally, she worked at the front reception desk as an administrative assistant 2, and for the last year and a half, she has worked as the administrative assistant 3 for the Community and Economic Development Team. Her duties include website design and ADA compliance for her program team, including the Nevada Economic Assessment Project and the Small Business Education Program. She supports the team with various odds and ends, keeping everyone on track, and making herself an invaluable asset to the team. When Michelle’s away from work, she enjoys spending time with her partner Judy, traveling, geocaching, hiking, and caring for her two dogs - Tibby and Stella. Currently Michelle is learning how to groom her dogs as a newfound hobby (despite some initial hiccups).
