Outstanding Senior
The Outstanding Senior Award recognizes graduating students who have excelled academically and have improved leadership in our College.
The Department of Nutrition is pleased to name Kevin Beeman-Brown as an Outstanding Nutrition Student in Nutritional Science Award for his academic excellence. Kevin is graduating with a B.S. in Nutrition with top marks in his graduating class. Kevin is in the process of applying to medical school. Kevin grew up in Reno, but spent a little over a decade away working in the Air Force as an Airborne Linguist. Making a career change to medicine, and having a passion for nutrition, Kevin enrolled at UNR with Nutritional Science as his major. Kevin’s future career plans include going back into the Air Force to become a Flight Surgeon. After his career as a flight surgeon, he then plans to transition back to civilian life after retirement to work in family practice. Sometime after finishing his residency, he also plans on continuing his nutrition education and become a Registered Dietitian, on top of being a Physician. Kevin is an outstanding student, whom also is an active Father, with hobbies of snowboarding, rock climbing, hiking, and reading. We are excited to watch Kevin grow as he pursues his goal of becoming a Physician. Congratulations Kevin Beeman-Brown as an Outstanding Nutrition Student in Nutritional Science for 2021.
