The Outstanding Senior Award recognizes graduating students who have excelled academically and have improved leadership in our College.

Congratulations to Alex Vice, this year’s Outstanding Senior in Forest Ecology and Management! Alex majored in Forest Ecology and Management (B.S.) and minored in Biochemistry. He spent several summers working full time for High Sierra Fire, Inc. gaining valuable career experience. During the school year Alex helped other students by working as a PASS Leader and Tutor running study sessions and working with a wide variety of students. He also served in 2019 as a Pack Mentor for the one-week intensive freshman orientation program, NevadaFIT. In addition to his academic and work experience Alex served the community through events such as the Courage Worldwide Marathon as an Aid Station Manager and the Children’s Miracle Network through the Wolf Pack Dance Marathon. Alex plans to begin work after graduation as an Associate Forester with Feather River Forestry.
