Our training material provides you with a better understanding of the budget planning functionality and the related processes and procedures to take full advantage of the budget system, improve the experience of financial information, and ensure departments’ success in the management of the University’s fiscal responsibilities.

FY27 Budget Training for Fiscal Officers

Date: February 24, 2026

This training is designed for fiscal officers with access to Anaplan and will prepare you for the FY27 budget cycle.

Sessions

  • Session 1: Anaplan Refresher Training
    • Time: 9:30–10:30 a.m. (1 hour)
    • Audience: Returning fiscal officers
    • Overview: A high-level review of key processes and tools to ensure readiness for the upcoming budget cycle.
  • Session 2: Anaplan 101 -New Fiscal Officer Training
    • Time: 10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. (1.5 hours)
    • Audience: New fiscal officers
    • Overview: An in-depth walkthrough of Anaplan and budget development steps, with additional time for questions and detailed guidance.

Key Topics for Both Sessions:

  • Navigating Anaplan: How to access and use budget modules effectively.
  • Position Data Entry: Entering and verifying professional and classified positions, including costing allocations and split-funded positions.
  • Budget Development Steps: Reviewing position lines, revenue and expense budgeting, transfers, and understanding key reports.

These sessions will ensure you have the tools and knowledge needed for accurate and timely budget submissions.
