How to get your permit
Step 1: Activate your NetID.
To use the online system, you must have an activated NetID. This is not your NSHE ID #. When accessing the activation site, please allow 24 hours after account activation before our system will recognize your NetID and password.
Step 2: Log into the Parking Portal with your NetID to purchase a permit.
University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe
This August, a zone parking system will be implemented on the Lake Tahoe campus that is similar to the system on the main campus. This provides consistency between the University of Nevada, Reno main campus and the Lake Tahoe campus. The parking zones include:
- ADA
- EX Vehicles
- Silver 11 LT- Sold to Faculty and Staff
- Green LT- Sold to commuter Students
- Yellow 3 LT- Sold to Resident Students
- Visitor spaces provided by PaybyPhone

*Silver 11, ADA and Green permits purchased for the University main campus are also valid on the Tahoe campus. Yellow 3 permits are specific to the Lake Tahoe campus and do not have parking authorization on the University main campus.
