ACCUPLACER PLACEMENT TESTING WILL RESUME
NOVEMBER 2ND. 2009


We are excited to announce that the Math Center will remain in operation to assist students in mathematics and statistics!

The lab will undergo a few changes in Fall 2009.  

  • Our tutors will only be able to assist students in the following courses: MATH 096/120/126/127/128/176/181/182/283/285  and STAT 152/352 
  • Our hours have changed.  We will now close early on Fridays at 1pm.  
  • Our tutors will be have access to the same homework software that students are using.  The majority of Math/Stat courses are using a homework system called MyMathLab. Our tutors will have MyMathLab accounts and will be able answer software related questions in addition to helping students with mathematical concepts.  


The majority of our operations will stay the same.  

  • The tutoring in the Math Center is still provided on a walk-in basis.  Students don't need an appointment to visit us.
  • The 30 station computer lab is still available to all students.  You don't have to be enrolled in a specific math/stat course to use the computers in the Math Center.  
  • The computer lab is still available for faculty whom wish to reserve it for presentations or lectures.  
  • The Math Center still conducts Accuplacer testing for placement purposes.
