Exceptionally strong applicants who enroll at the University can have their application fees refunded. To qualify, you must have a GPA higher than 3.5 and quantitative GRE scores above the 80th percentile.
Supplemental awards to assist with moving expenses are also available for outstanding applicants. Contact Dr. Henry Fu for details.
Most incoming students are funded by research assistantships (RA). Research assistantships are awarded by individual faculty. Contact faculty members with research programs that interest you to learn about RA opportunities.
The department also has a limited number of teaching assistantships available. Exceptional students who have submitted a completed application to the graduate program will be considered for a teaching assistantship.
Either type of assistantship covers tuition and health insurance and provides a stipend for living expenses.
