Nevada Clinical Simulation Center

The University of Nevada Simulation Center is an inter-professional center where students, faculty and practicing clinicians can come together to experience high quality and realistic clinical simulation with the goal of improving health outcomes for all patients.

The Simulation Center is housed in the Pennington Health Science Building on the University of Nevada Reno campus.

Standardized patient education

Standardized patients are individuals trained to act as a real patient in order to give medical students an opportunity to practice taking medical histories, giving physical exams and communicating with patients.

Scheduling requests for the simulation lab

Faculty can request to use the simulation center via our simulation calendar. Submissions must be done by a University of Nevada faculty member. Forms should be submitted at least three weeks prior to the simulation date and are required in order to reserve the lab space. This is to ensure that the Simulation Lab is equipped and ready for the simulation and all programming is completed and tested ahead of time.
