About University Organizational Resilience – Northern Command

University Organizational Resilience – Northern Command (UOR–NC) works closely with emergency management professionals, public safety agencies, healthcare partners, and institutional stakeholders throughout northern Nevada to strengthen coordination, enhance resource sharing, and support integrated, multi-agency response efforts. UOR–NC is an active member of the Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) for both Washoe County and Carson City, the Inter-Hospital Coordinating Council (IHCC) for Washoe County, and the Quad County Healthcare Coalition, contributing to regional preparedness, response planning, and cross-sector collaboration.

Through our affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno, which maintains a presence in every Nevada county, UOR–NC supports statewide situational awareness and connectivity, helping to ensure a more informed and responsive approach to institutional resilience. The team also holds membership in respected professional associations, reinforcing our commitment to best practices and continuous improvement in emergency management and continuity planning.

Our mission is to protect life, property, and research—while safeguarding the environment and cultural resources essential to each campus community.
