The Nevada Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting a free, two-day workshop designed to help entrepreneurs across the state build and strengthen their business plans.

Sprint to Scale: 2-Day Business Planning Workshop will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 2 and 3 at 565 Rio Vista Drive in Fallon, Nevada. The intensive training is open to all Nevada entrepreneurs and small business owners, whether they are just getting started or ready to scale their existing operations.

“At the Nevada SBDC, we believe that every entrepreneur deserves the tools, support, and confidence to turn vision into reality. This two-day program is more than a workshop, it’s an investment in the future of your business,” said Winnie Dowling, state director of the Nevada SBDC. “Whether you’re taking your very first steps or charting new territory for growth, Nevada SBDC is here to help you build a solid plan and connect with a community that champions your success.”

Led by Kelli Kelly, SBDC agriculture and food systems business advisor, the workshop will feature expert instruction, personalized advising and group-based learning focused on the core principles of business planning and goal setting.

Participants will receive a comprehensive workbook and engage in activities aimed at developing a practical roadmap for growth and sustainability. Additional benefits include opportunities to increase online visibility through the Made in Nevada program and access to the Made in Nevada shop, an e-commerce platform that supports Nevada-based makers and businesses.

Kelly brings a diverse background in food systems, business development and project management. A former culinary professional and tall ship crew member, she now works closely with farmers, ranchers and food entrepreneurs to support Nevada’s regional food systems and economic resilience. Kelly holds degrees in Culinary Arts and Project Management and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Leadership at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
