Nevada Dining is excited to announce the return of ThankFul Week, a special event set to unfold from Nov. 13 – 17, with the main event taking place on Nov. 15. Celebrated nationwide across 300 other campuses, ThankFul is a celebration of friendship, gratitude and a collective effort to combat food insecurity through donations, food and engaging activities.
Swipe and Buck Drive: A simple act of kindness can make a world of difference. During ThankFul Week, Nevada Dining offers various ways to give back, including Swipe and Buck Drives. To join the Buck Drive, simply drop by any of Nevada Dining's locations and let the cashier know that you'd like to make a donation to the Buck Drive. By donating Swipes and Bucks, you'll be helping Pack Provisions provide meals to those in need, ensuring that no one on campus has to go to bed hungry.
Canned Foods Drive: Spread warmth and joy by donating food! Everyone on campus is welcome to contribute non-perishable food items. Donations can be dropped off at Pack Place anytime between 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout ThankFul Week.
150 Meal Vouchers: Nevada Dining is donating 150 Meal Plan vouchers to Pack Provisions. Each voucher provides access to Pack Place, offering a nutritious meal to those who need it most during challenging times.
Main Event: Gather your friends and colleagues for a Friendsgiving Dinner at Pack Place featuring a customized menu that includes traditional and alternative Thanksgiving offerings. Mark your calendars for the main event on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. Gain entry to Pack Place with a Meal Plan Swipe, FoodBucks or WolfBucks, credit or debit. Meal Plans can be purchased here.
Cookies for Good: Satisfy your sweet tooth and contribute to a good cause! Select your favorite cookies and decorate them with icing and toppings. Spread kindness and decorate a cookie for yourself and one for a friend you’re thankful for. Cookies for Good is taking place during the main event.
ThankFul Tree and Gratitude Pumpkins: A beautiful tree is adorned with leaf-shaped sticky notes, where participants can share what they are thankful for. The tree will be displayed inside Pack Place throughout the week, in addition to Gratitude Pumpkins.
