Evaluators from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) will visit the University of Nevada, Reno Oct. 4 – 6, 2023 to conduct a site visit as part of the University’s accreditation review cycle. The University was last accredited by NWCCU in 2017.

Accreditation is a process by which external evaluators assess the University’s educational quality and institutional effectiveness with an emphasis on student success. The accreditation also involves a holistic assessment of the University’s policies and procedures, fiscal and human resources, and infrastructure to ensure the University has the capacity to address its mission as a land grant university.

As part of the accreditation review, the NWCCU would like to invite public comment regarding the University’s qualification for accreditation. All such comments should be sent directly to NWCCU by electronic submission or by post to Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (8060 165th Ave NE, Suite 200, Redmond, WA 98052). All comments must be received by NWCCU by Sept. 22, 2023.
