The University’s online master’s degree in cybersecurity has been ranked as among the best in the nation by Cybersecurity Guide, an online cybersecurity education resource.

The Cybersecurity, M.S. (online) program offers an integrated course of study covering the theory, implementation and design of security cyberspace. It is offered through the Cybersecurity Center, directed by Computer Science & Engineering Professor Shamik Sengupta.

Cybersecurity Guide lists the program in its Best online master’s in cybersecurity programs for 2023. Rankings are based on overall excellence, student experience and affordability.

The University’s Cybersecurity Center brings together expertise from a range of disciplines including political science, information systems, journalism, criminal justice, philosophy, psychology, history, and computer science and engineering. The Cybersecurity Center and its work aligns with one of the College of Engineering’s main research pillars: cyber-protected information and communication technology.
