The College of Business at the University of Nevada, Reno is excited to welcome Elemental LED as a new corporate partner. Elemental LED is a Reno-based technology company that engineers, manufactures and sells lighting solutions. The company is the largest provider of linear low-voltage lighting in North America and supports lighting innovation around the globe, holding patents in diverse fields including optics, LED light engines, electrical circuitry, power and related components.

“We are thrilled to partner with the College of Business to support our long-term hiring needs,” Randy Holleschau, president and CEO of Elemental LED, said. “We have tremendous growth projected for our company and we will need to hire innovative, dependable and enthusiastic people that are actively willing to problem solve. We are confident that the University of Nevada, Reno has the talent we are looking for in our future.”

The Corporate Partnership program is a cornerstone within the College of Business. The College partners with numerous companies, ranging from Reno-area businesses to international corporations, to help engage with and inform students about best business practices. Corporate partners often recruit College of Business graduates, a testament to the quality education and real-world experience students receive within the College.

“We are very pleased that Elemental LED is now a part our Corporate Partnership program,” Greg Mosier, Dean of the College of Business, said. “The company has had great success in its growth strategy while hiring many Nevada graduates. The Corporate Partnership program is an important step in expanding their engagement with the College of Business and our students.”

“Elemental LED recognized the importance of establishing a talent pipeline with the College of Business when they relocated their business from California to Reno,” Jim McClenahan, director of Career and Corporate Outreach within the College of Business, said. “The new corporate partnership will provide opportunities for students to join a ‘great culture’ company that is rapidly expanding. As the company expands, the roles available to our interns and alums will only increase.”

Corporate partners provide critical feedback on the preparedness of the students they work with. In addition, they have the opportunity to bring real-world experience and perspectives to students through guest speaking, assistance with career development workshops and collaboration on class projects. They also help provide important networking opportunities.
