Just want to let you know that there's been some misinformation out there. There's the CARES Act funding for students, and there's also stimulus checks for families and students. Those are two separate funds. One comes straight from the federal government, and the check goes straight to your home.

The CARES Act funding from the University of Nevada, Reno, we have a one page application that you fill out online, the CARES request form. We roughly received $7.1 million dollars. We need the students to fill out the form We have roughly $4 million dollars left.

Please, we need you to apply online. We're here to support you. We want you to get this money. It's free money. It's cash payments to you, has nothing to do with your financial aid. You get to use it for your expenses, for your books, your rent, your groceries, etc. It's free money for you. All we need for you is to apply for these funds.

Please take the time go on to our website, fill out the one page application online. It takes about five minutes.
