The College of Liberal Arts had another successful year of hiring an impressive group of new colleagues. Over the last year, 22 new faculty members in 14 departments were added. In addition, the College hired six staff members to round out the diverse group.

Among these new hires is an endowed chair position. Professor of History, Eugene Park, is the Rick and Cathy Trachok Endowed Chair in International Studies. Park is a historian of East Asia, especially Korean politics and society since the 14th century. Two new faculty members have dual-appointments - Prisca Gayles and Vadricka Etienne are assistant professors in Sociology and Gender, Race, and Identity.

The Department of Theatre and Dance had the opportunity to welcome four new hires. Kasey Graham will assist with the new musical theatre degree and Rosie Brownlow-Calkin, Sandra Neace and Yasmine Jahanmir are great additions to the theatre program.
