A grand opening event for the University Studies Abroad Consortium's (USAC) new annex, a sleek, bright, modern-looking building sitting across the street from the Virginia Street Gym, at 1317 Virginia Street, will be held on Aug. 31 from 3-6 p.m. University faculty, staff and students are invited to attend. USAC staff will be on hand to answer questions about the new building, as well as teaching and studying abroad opportunities.

USAC's headquarters and student advising center will remain across the street in the Virginia Street Gym.

In June, Alyssa Nota was named President/CEO of USAC. Longtime leader Carmelo Urza, who was USAC's founding director in 1982, announced earlier this year that he was retiring. Nota joined USAC in 2000 and has managed successful USAC programs in Italy, including Torino, Viterbo, and Verona.
