Land Rover Reno to Raffle Custom Discovery Sport to Raise Money for Reno Ronald McDonald House® and Nevada Wolf Pack

Tickets for the Wolf Pack-themed vehicle available for sale from July 29 to October 2, 2015

Jaguar Land Rover of Reno will be raffling a custom, Nevada Wolf Pack-themed Land Rover Discovery Sport, the brand's family adventure model, in an effort to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Nevada (the Reno Ronald McDonald House® or RMHC® Northern Nevada) and the Nevada Wolf Pack, in particular the Pack Educational Fund.. A total of 1,000 tickets, priced at $100 per ticket, will be sold during "Discovering the House that Love Built: A Land Rover Raffle Benefiting the Reno Ronald McDonald House® and the Nevada Wolf Pack," running from July 29 to Oct. 2, 2015.

This Discovery Sport is designed in Wolf Pack blue and silver and carries the logo on the front and back head rests. With this set of enhancements, the vehicle costs about $55,000. Land Rover Discovery Sports typically start at $37,000.

"As our dealership looks to further its impact in the Reno community, partnering to give back was a natural step we were happy to take," said Ray DiNardi, equity partner with Cliff Findlay of Jaguar Land Rover Reno and General Manager of the Land Rover Las Vegas. "We're hoping that even if folks aren't able to purchase a ticket, they'll at least learn more about these two organizations and the impact they both have on our residents."

Currently, this Discovery Sport is the only one available in the state of Nevada. It includes a panoramic moon roof, seating for up to seven, app connection for syncing with smart phones, and efficiency capabilities that minimize fuel consumption and CO emissions.  To view the Discovery Sport, people can visit the dealership or see it in person during the following University of Nevada football games: Thursday, Sept. 3 versus the University of California, Davis, Aggies, kick-off TBD; Saturday, Sept. 12 versus the University of Arizona Wildcats, kick-off at 4:00 p.m. Additional upcoming viewing opportunities to be released later.

The winning raffle ticket will be pulled at the 4th Annual Red Shoe Gala benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities® Northern Nevada on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 at the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa. The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. and the ticket will be pulled at the close of the program (approximately 9:00 p.m.). The winner of the Discovery Sport will be announced after he or she has been notified. Gala information can be found at www.rmhc-reno.org[rmhc-reno.org].

"The work we do, keeping families close, can be critical to a child's recovery," said Marty Ozer, executive director of Ronald McDonald House® Charities Northern Nevada. "Sometimes these families have nowhere else to go during a time when they most need a supportive environment, so we're honored to have generous partners who are willing to help us fill this critical need."

Land Rover raffle ticket information can be found at www.landroverreno.com[landroverreno.com] or at the Jaguar Land Rover dealership, located at 9150 South Virginia Street.
