Several sections of the University’s Administrative Manual have recently been updated. The amended sections are as follows: 51-Major Units of the University-RATIONALE FOR CHANGE: The School of Community Health Sciences was added to the list of Academic Units. 61-Records Retention and Disposition Schedule-RATIONALE FOR CHANGE: Updates were made to reflect recent Board of Regents’ revisions to the policy. 2,670-Annual Leave Policy for Faculty-RATIONALE FOR CHANGE: Revisions were made to conform to Workday configuration. 2,673-Sick, Family Sick, Child-Rearing, and Family Medical Leave-RATIONALE FOR CHANGE: Revisions were made to conform to Workday configuration. 3,010-Policies Related to Student Activities-RATIONALE FOR CHANGE: To avoid duplication in the UAM, language regarding class absences was deleted from this policy. The Class Absence Policy, Section 3,020, addresses student responsibilities when absent from class. 3,020-Class Absence Policy-RATIONALE FOR CHANGE: Revisions were made to address student responsibilities when absent from class and update language in accordance with NSHE policy.

In collaboration with multiple university departments, the Title IX Coalition announces the roll out of Green Dot, a research-based comprehensive bystander intervention program. Green Dot provides faculty, staff and students with information and skills to safely intervene in all situations that are harmful or potentially harmful. Green Dot provides participants with tools to intervene that best match their personal barriers and challenges while allowing everyone to feel capable and equipped to do what is needed to end sexual assault, dating/domestic violence, stalking, hate speech, binge drinking, and more.
