Nevada Geosciences Research Symposium

The first annual Nevada Geosciences Research Symposium will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025 at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Join us for the first annual Nevada Geosciences Research Symposium on April 11, 2025!

This day-long event is hosted by students, faculty, staff and researchers in the integrated Nevada Geosciences group, which includes members of the Department of Geological Sciences and Engineering, the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology and the Nevada Seismological Laboratory.

The research symposium provides an opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, researchers, and post docs to present their research to our broader Nevada Geosciences community, as well as members of other University departments, industry, the public and other government agencies. The event will consist of both oral and poster presentations.

Registration for the Nevada Geosciences Research Symposium is now open.

For off-campus guests, PayByPhone parking is available on the first floor of the Gateway Parking Complex on University and 9th Street (4 hour limit), or a daily pass can be purchased on the top floor of the West Stadium Parking Complex for $7.00. For more parking information, read the University's Visitor Parking webpage.
