Nevada Telecommunication Equipment Distribution Program for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Speech Impaired (NTEDP)

The NTEDP is a new project of the Nevada Assistive Technology Resource Center. The program provides access to telecommunication related equipment, at no cost, that assists people who are deaf, hard of hearing and those with speech difficulties in communicating more effectively over the telephone.

The project is a Communication Access Service Center funded by Nevada telephone users through a small monthly surcharge on phone lines in the state (NRS 427A.797). Funds are collected by the Public Utilities Commission and administered through the State of Nevada’s Aging and Disability Services Division.
