Stay covered. Don't lose your Medicare coverage.

During COVID, people couldn't be taken off Medicaid, and states got more money to help. But after March 2023, states started checking if people still qualified for Medicaid. They removed people who didn't qualify anymore or didn't finish the renewal steps. The Stay Covered project helps families understand Medicaid. We explain how to sign up and what to do if you need to renew, or go through redetermination. How do I keep Medicaid or Nevada Check Up coverage?

  1. Keep your contact information up to date with Medicaid.
  2. Watch your mail for a letter from Medicaid or Nevada Check Up. It will include a renewal or redetermination date with instructions for next steps.
  3. Return completed paperwork as soon as possible (before the deadline!) and save a copy of everything.
  4. Send your paperwork by certified mail or get a fax confirmation page.
