Summary
Andre Walton's, Ph.D., expertise is in the area of organizational creativity. Born and educated to Bachelor's degree level in England, Walton graduated with a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Nevada, Reno and has lived in Nevada since 1996. His research area was the social and environmental influences on creativity. In particular, examining how factors such as stress, competition and organizational norms effect people's motivation to be creative.
The concept of spherical thinking was developed by Walton as was the group affiliation model of creativity. He has also been an active researcher in the field of social psychology and law and was a consultant for the National Judicial College.
Although he pursued academic research in recent years, Walton spent the previous 20 years as an active entrepreneur building an international corporate group based in Europe and the U.S. Originally trained as a physicist, Walton has also been a business consultant in the area of corporate growth through new product and new market development. Walton won three prestigious awards for his work in the areas of innovation, small business development and export marketing.
A keen musician, Walton has played flute on over a dozen CDs with musical styles ranging from celtic to jazz.
