Summary
Growing up in Georgia and then South Dakota, I developed an early interest in aquatic ecosystems and eventually how water moves through landscapes. I wanted to explore these interests in the West, and the University of Nevada Reno’s Ecohydrology program was a natural fit. I graduated in 2019 with a BS in Ecohydrology and have stayed in the Reno area, working mainly in environmental consulting on projects with Tribes in Nevada and California.
Through this work, I became increasingly aware of how critical groundwater is and how poorly understood many groundwater systems remain. This ultimately led me back to school to pursue a Master’s in Hydrogeology while continuing to work in environmental consulting. I am particularly interested in applying groundwater modeling and improved monitoring practices to support sustainable groundwater management and protect groundwater-dependent ecosystems.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy rock climbing, snowboarding, and getting outside with my German Shepherd, Bella.
