Summary
Christian Dunkerly earned his B.S. In Biology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 2012. Since graduating, he has worked at the Desert Research Institute on projects related to environmental monitoring, evapotranspiration, and consumptive use. Christian has been a contributor to both OpenET and Climate Engine, and focuses on challenges related to fieldwork logistics, eddy covariance, instrumentation, data telemetry, and machine learning. He is passionate about making data both accessible and approachable to local stakeholders and is pursuing a master's in hydrology to improve and broaden his knowledge of hydrology to solve challenges in the water-constrained West.
Outside of work, Christian enjoys birdwatching, riding his road bike, and going to music festivals.
