Ulyses is seeking an M.A. in communication studies and the G.R.I. certificate. A first-generation Chicano, he was raised in Chico, CA and received his B.A. from Humboldt State University. Uly is a rhetorical critic whose research focuses on the empowerment and restriction of agency through race (Latinx & Black identities), feminism and neoliberalism/political economy.
