Campus update

June 29, 2020

This message was sent to students at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Dear Nevada Students,

We hope you are staying well and engaged in the preventative practices that will allow the state and the university to move forward with our plan to return to on-campus operations. In compliance with the Governor’s directives, the campus started reopening in early June. Many buildings and offices are providing services with safe staffing levels and offering a combination of remote and in-person access.

Given the unpredictability of the pandemic, we want you to know that your University has developed a spectrum of plans to provide opportunities for student learning and to meet your co-curricular needs regardless of the conditions. Our goal is to maximize your opportunities for safe and responsible in-person education while also providing online options for those who need or prefer it. In all instances you will be able to continue your education at the University of a Nevada, Reno and graduate on schedule. Our plans are currently under review by the Chancellor along with those of the other institutions in the Nevada System of Higher Education.

Over the next few weeks we will be providing you with regular updates on what you should expect for the fall semester. We will meet the Governor’s directives while prioritizing your University experience and your health and safety. Please check your emails regularly as well as unr.edu and our social media channels.

Go Pack!
