Responding to hate and bias through education

In 2018, the hate and bias response team was convened and charged with assessing reports of hate and bias received through the University of Nevada, Reno's online reporting system. While the Equal Opportunity and Title IX Office review incidents for violation of the law or University policy, the hate and bias response team focuses more on how to respond in terms of developing and promoting educational resources and trainings to better foster a campus culture of inclusive excellence.

The hate and bias response team is currently being reformatted to be inclusive of new positions on campus and better able to respond to current campus conditions. For a selection of our history of hate and bias reports from 2018-2020, please see below.
