Center for Basque Studies Press
The Center for Basque Studies (CBS) Press is the largest English-language publisher in the world on Basque-related topics, publishing all things related to Basque history, culture, and its people. The CBS Press published the first occasional papers in the early 1980s under the leadership of William Douglass. Today, our titles can be found in select bookstores, libraries and online retailers like Amazon.
What we publish
We publish academic and trade books focused on all aspects of Basque culture, including politics, history, children's books and novels. If it relates to Basque, there is a good chance the Center has published a book on it, or that we have one in the works.
Series published by the Center for Basque Studies Press include Basque classics, Basque politics, Basque literature in translation, Basque originals, Basque diaspora and migration studies, and occasional papers. New series are in development.
In the words of the exiled Basque poeta Josemari Iparragirre, "Eman ta zabal zazu" (give and spread your fruit all over the world). Find us online at basquebooks.com.
