Showcasing emerging artists in a dynamic hallway gallery

The McNamara Gallery honors the legacy of Walter McNamara, longtime curator of University Galleries, by serving as a vibrant space for emerging ideas and creative exploration. Established in 1987 in the Church Fine Arts building, the gallery offers a flexible platform for student artwork, experimental projects, and community exhibitions. With frequently rotating shows, it invites visitors to encounter new perspectives and supports an accessible, ever-evolving dialogue within the University’s artistic community.

Pull Me Apart: Representing the Body in Painting

Pull Me Apart: Representing the Body in Painting is a group exhibition featuring work from University of Nevada, Reno painting students enrolled in Teaching Assistant Professor, Ahren Hertel's, Fall 2025 courses: Painting 2, Intermediate Painting and Advanced Painting.

Artists include: Cassidy Alcorn, Heidi Archdekin, Allie Brown, Kaela Costello, Sarah Ellis, Mik Fershin, Cindy Garcia, Grace Herzog, Erica Hincapie, Gabi Ho, Charzie Janovro, Barbara Laird, Zoa Rich, Elena Rodriguez, Kieran Rymple, Auriana Saechao, Ashley Santiago, Emily Stauss and Riley Waters.
