COBAA Events and Benefits
The College of Business Alumni Association hosts a number of events throughout the year that allow graduates and other members to connect, network and share their knowledge and skills. Learn more about those opportunities below. Not yet a member? Become one here.
Haven't seen your favorite professor or a fellow grad in a while? During the fall semester the Alumni Association hosts an informal mixer. Held in the early evening, we encourage alums and faculty to stop by after work and catch-up on their professional and personal lives and re-establish connections made in school.
Scholarship and Awards Reception
Thanks to proceeds from our events throughout the year, COBAA is able to present scholarships to help further the studies of several deserving business students. We also celebrate the efforts of local business leaders and entrepreneurs with the COBAA Outstanding Alumnus award. Similarly, we also select and present an Outstanding Faculty award to those academic and administrative faculty who inspire the best in their students and contribute the most to the business discourse in the College.
Our annual golf tournament scramble and barbecue, usually held after spring graduation, is fun for golfers and non-golfers alike. The Tournament is one of the largest COBAA events and draws huge numbers of alums itching to prove their mettle upon the green. Proceeds from the event help support the Association and have allowed COBAA to establish scholarships and endowment fund for the College.
The official newsletter to our alumni and business community is published four times a year and features numerous stories about alumni and College events. Venture is also our primary avenue of contact with the 4,000-plus graduates of the College.
COBAA actively pursues an alliance with the faculty and staff of the College. The Association provides speaker to the faculty for in-class discussions and presentations.
