Students will visit the 2nd floor of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center at their assigned appointment time to pick up their WolfCard (if they have not already), check into their NevadaFIT bootcamp, pick up their iPad and accessories as part of the Digital Wolf Pack Initiative, and check-in to Housing if living in the residence halls. Your appointment time is determined by your move-in assignment. All First in the Pack and TRIO students must check in on Thursday regardless of on- or off-campus living.
Students are required to submit the NevadaFIT First Assignment on Canvas prior to arriving at check-in, in order to ensure that they have all tasks completed that are necessary to navigate the check-in process. Students must also show their WolfCard (student ID) at the start of check-in. If you did not already pick up your WolfCard during summer orientation, please send in your photo virtually to the WolfCard page. You will be able to pick up your WolfCard during New Student Check-In if you submitted your photo virtually. Virtual photo submissions will be accepted until Wednesday, August 14 at 8 a.m. If you do not submit your photo virtually, there will be a photo station to take your photo and print your WolfCard then. Please bring an additional form of ID if you still need to pick up your WolfCard.
Families/guests are welcome to visit the 4th floor of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center or the 1st-floor Atrium of the Delamare Library for a reception while their student completes the check-in process.

Off-campus appointment times on Saturday, August 17:
Honors students are required to participate in the one-day HonorsFIT program and a discipline-specific NevadaFIT bootcamp. More information will be sent to participating students from Honors College.
Transfer students have the option to participate in TransferFIT as a portion of the ACE 310: TransferFIT: Building Community through Technology 3-credit course. Transfer students will be acclimated to our University campus physically, academically and socially. This opportunity runs simultaneously with NevadaFIT. Students must apply. Information is sent to participating students via email.
Students and families are invited to check out some of the dining options on campus and have dinner with us prior to Fan Fest. Pack Place Dining hall in Argenta Hall will accept meal swipes for students on a meal plan. Additionally, Panera in the Fitzgerald Student Services Building and the Joe Crowley Student Union vendors will be open from approximately 4-7p.m. View the dining options to see the most up to date information about each location and their hours.
Fan Fest will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. prior to Opening Ceremony. Get photos with athletes, coaches and cheer! Play games, enjoy a variety of food trucks and spend time with other incoming students and their families!
Opening Ceremony will begin promptly at 8 p.m. in Mackay Stadium and is required for NevadaFIT participants to attend. Families, guests and other supporters are encouraged to attend and will be seated separately from students. This annual tradition welcomes new students to the University of Nevada, Reno by celebrating the start of the school year with President Sandoval’s official address.
Students will receive their NevadaFIT t-shirt at Opening Ceremony and should wear it to the Stadium and on Sunday for camp welcomes!

Students are required to attend their assigned New Student Check-in time, Opening Ceremony and NevadaFIT Welcome. Students are also required to participate in all NevadaFIT sessions beginning Monday, August 19.
Families/guests are encouraged to assist their student in residence hall move-in, attend New Student Night at Aces Ballpark, Fan Fest and Opening Ceremony. Families/guests are welcome to visit the 4th floor of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center for a family/guest reception while their student completes the check-in process.

Students and families/guests can download the NevadaFIT parking pass to park in the West Stadium Parking Garage August 15-22, 2024.
Families/guests will not be able to stay in the residence halls with their student during Opening Weekend and NevadaFIT. More information to come on where to stay!
Once NevadaFIT classes begin on Monday, August 19, students will be busy all day with their NevadaFIT bootcamp. Families/guests are encouraged to make time to say their goodbyes on or before Sunday, August 18.
Opening Weekend is also for our newly admitted transfer students! To participate in Opening Weekend events, transfer students are welcome to sign up for a course called TransferFIT.

NevadaFIT students who have not purchased a fall semester parking permit may download a free parking pass, good for parking in the West Stadium Parking Complex from August 15-22.
All incoming students participating in NevadaFIT or TransferFIT will receive their Digital Wolf Pack Initiative iPad Air and accessories during Opening Weekend.
